Open Enrollment for Current SoCalGas University Represented Offerings

Per the current collective bargaining agreement (Section 5.10, Pre-qualifying Examinations), With supervisor approval, an employee may elect to utilize any unused testing hours for developmental trainings offered by the Company. If an employee elects to use the hours for developmental trainings, they will not receive additional hours for testing purposes.

* This program is designed for represented employees in lead positions (i.e. Lead Construction Tech, Lead Dispatcher, etc.). The training provides foundational leadership skills that are universal for anyone who leads people, directly or indirectly.

Management and Associate Preparation Program (MAPP)
|
The program is designed as a tool for the development of full-time and part-time represented employees interested in attaining a management & associate level career.
Classes are held from 4:00PM - 6:00PM or 5:00PM - 7:00PM, depending on the location, and can be in-person or virtual based on the topic. The program operates across six regions: Anaheim, Chatsworth, Compton, Lancaster, Monterey Park, and Redlands.

Professional Development Assistance Program (PDAP)
|
The Professional Development Assistance Program (PDAP) supports all active, regular employees pursuing higher education beneficial to both the employee and Sempra Energy or its companies (includes SoCalGas). Starting on their hire date, full-time employees are eligible for up to $5250 in PDAP benefits per calendar year. Part-time employees become eligible after twelve months, with a benefit amount of $800.
